Pentecost Sunday was filled with the Holy Spirit—AS IT SHOULD BE! The worship service was well attended and filled with energy, excitement, good music, the presence of God! I would like to thank the Worship Committee for the beautiful candles and adornments to our chancel as well as providing wonderful music. I would like to thank our Confirmation Class for helping lead worship as liturgists, acolytes, ushers and greeters. I would like to thank (and remind) the congregation of their promise to hold St. Paul’s in prayer that the Holy Spirit continue to empower us and lead and direct us in new and mighty things. I would also like to thank (and remind) the congregation for their promise to keep me in prayer so that the Holy Spirit continues to energize and guide me as their pastoral leader! WITH THE PRESENCE AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH GREAT
THINGS!!!

June is upon us—as is the continuation of the Pentecost season. Please try to be in worship as often as possible, so that we can all benefit from the leading of God’s Spirit. On June 13th we will be celebrating the milestone of graduation for a number of our members and youth. We will also be celebrating the Confirmation of 9 great kids of different ages who have worked several months with some great mentors to complete this process of Confirmation. The confirmands have gone on several ‘field trips’ as a group. They have gone to a worship service at the Jewish synagogue and engaged in discussion with a couple of Rabbis. In conjunction with their session on Death and Resurrection we visited Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematorium. We toured the facilities and learned many new things from one of their funeral directors. In addition, they (with many of our other Youth) helped the Missions and Outreach Committee serve dinner to the hungry of our community at Bread of Life. Many of our confirmands also have gone on other outings and other services of other faiths with their mentors.

Please keep these kids and mentors in your prayers so that they may continue their faith journey under the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is a great group who are all excited about the journey they are on. Let’s help them continue it!

See You In Church,
Rev. Dave
